Ok, I'm a slacker, I should have been posting something everyday, but I was just too busy with my parents here. I just got home from taking them to the airport:(, and figured I should put some pictures on here. So here is how the week went...
Tuesday...
John went back to work, so it was just me, Eric and grandma and grandpa. We went to Sabino Canyon and took a little shuttle tour of the canyon. It is in the Catalina Mountains. It was beautiful, and although it was hot, sitting in the shade really makes a difference. We all liked it, and the baby did great!
My back started really hurting on Tuesday night, but I hoped that it would be all better by Wednesday!
Wendesday...
We went to the Botanical Gardens. It was nice, but really really hot!!! The babies face was so red, but he was such a trooper and was really good all day! We looked around, but pretty much bypassing anything that wasn't in the shade. We stopped at a few sprinklers also and just let Eric get wet! He liked it!:)
My back hurt all day, I didn't even really pick up the baby (like I had a chance anyway:)). I kept putting those Icy Hot patches on it, and it did feel a little better, but still really hurt- although I could still move so I was very thankful!
Thursday...
Since Eric has excema, he has had a few spots on his head that keep flaring up. The doctor gave me some ointment to put on it "when it gets really ugly", but it wasn't working- and it was really ugly! I called the doctor on Thursday and they said to bring him in just to get it checked out. Since I was going in anyway, I called Flight Medicine and got an appointment with my doctor too. My doctor gave me Flexeril (a muscle relaxant) to take at night, and just said to take Motrin 3x a day. The babies doctor said that it surely was ugly, and he could give me another ointment for it, but thought it would be better to take an antibiotic- because there were some little pussy bumps that were definitely infected. So I have to give him Keflex 3x day for 7 days. The doctor said that he will hate it, but Eric doesn't mind it at all, I actually think he likes it!
Anyway, my dad had been wanting to see 'Down Town' Tucson, so we just went for a ride through it. There is a street that has cute little shops up and down both sides, but with my back hurting so much, we didn't think it was a good idea to get out and walk around. I had to get a few things- so we stopped at Babies R Us on the way home- it was the cheapest trip every!!!- and stopped and got some Krispy Kreme's on the way home! Yummy!
When John got home, we went out to dinner at McGraw's Cantina- it was pretty good!
Firday...
We were going to go to the change of command ceremony at John's squadron this morning, but my back was still hurting and it wouldn't have been good. We then were going to go out to see the A-10, but John got really busy and didn't have time. The weather was crappy anyway (yes it was raining- well spitting a little!!!) We just rode up to the base and shopped a little in the BX. I actually got my hair cut in the beauty shop there, and we had lunch there too.
John's new commander had a party on Friday night, so we went and my mom and dad babysat! It was really nice to go out and not be worried about anything! We stayed for a little bit, and then a bunch of us went to a bar and had a few drinks! It was the first time that I had an alcoholic drink since Dec. '04!!! Crazy- we had a good time!
Saturday...
We went out to Tombstone, and it was really cool! I didn't feel well at all! It may have been because of the drinks I had on Friday, but it didn't feel like a hangover, and I had been feeling kinda sick for a few days, so who knows what it was. Needless to say, I thought Tombstone was really cool, but it was the last place I wanted to be. We will definitely have to go back, I want to check it all out! The baby started to get cranky too, so we stayed for a little and then left!
When we got home, our house was about 90 degrees!!! It was so hot, our air conditioner broke!!! To make a long story short, we couldn't get anyone out to fix it, so we just had to roast for a little! It cooled down at night, and we had all the fans on and all the windows open. It was ok, but frustrating!!!
Sunday...
We sat around a lot, because it was too hot to do anything else, and we had to be there when the air conditioner people came! They finally got here around 12, but it took all day and into the evening hours to cool the house down! We just cooked and ate in- which didn't help with the heat, but mmmm mmmm mmmm!
Monday...
John had to get up but a** early and go in for a flight, his show time was 4:40- yes am!!! The rest of us just hung out until I had to take them to the airport! I am so very sad, they were such a big help, especially with my back hurt- I don't know what I would have done if they weren't here!!! Thank God they were!!!
Sorry this post is so long, but that pretty much sums it all up. I will put pictures on here in a little, the baby is crying and the rest of the pictures will be on his website!
