pictures and swings...

We have a few colored pictures on the refridgerator from some of our friend's kids. Well Eric is getting tall enough now where he can stand on his tippy toes and get the end of the picture and slide it down. He thinks it is so great, he is so proud of himself!

I have taken Eric to the park before, but believe it or not, I have never put him in a swing yet! Well it was cloudy last night (that is the best time to walk!) after dinner, so I decided to walk down to the park! We went down and there was a little league game so there were a ton of kids there playing. We waited for the swings for about 10 minutes and then I put him in! He kinda sorta liked it! He didn't cry, but didn't seem real excited either! Finally he whined a little and I took him out! That lasted all of about 5 minutes, and then we walked home! I would have taken him down the slide or something else, but there were just too many other kids there! Next time! We'll like it soon, I'm sure!

who knows what is going on...

I have been having joint paint for about 5 weeks now. It started in my left elbow, and quickly spread to all of my joints- wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles. My fingers and toes even hurt somedays! Well I finally went to the doctor yesterday, and she ordered a bunch of tests because we really couldn't figure out what is going on. I have to go back for blood tests, but I also got some ex-rays done and a few others done too. The only thing she could maybe figure out is that I have the beginning of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It is from the way I sleep! Go figure! I bend my wrists and put the back of my hand on my face. I have slept like this forever, and sometimes I would wake up and my wrist would be really sore, and I knew I was pushing hard that night. Well now it wakes me up all the time! So the doctor gave me wrist splints to sleep in!!! Fun, fun, fun! I slept about half the night last night with them and then ripped them off. Hopefully I will get used to them so I can re-train myself to not sleep like that. I have talked to a few people already who also sleep like that, so if you do, try to stop now so it doesn't get to this point! Anyway, I will let you know what if anything we find out about all the other joints!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me that it is nothing at all!!!

stress, stress and more unnecessary stress...

Sorry it's been so long since I've put something on here- no excuses! Well those of you who know me well know that for whatever crazy reason, I HATE having people over my house! I don't mind having friends just over, but when I am "hosting" something, I make myself sick over it!!! Even things as relaxed as Bunko- I just worry and make myself crazy! Now you know that I totally didn't grow up this way, we always had people over our house, for everything and anything! I don't know where it came from, but it is definitely here! I worry over silly things, like if there is enough of everything, if everyone likes the food, if I have enough of a selection of drinks, if the music is too loud or too soft, if they like the music, if they are bored, if if if!!! I honestly make myself SICK! I have to get over this, it is absurd!!! Everyone has phobias of some sort or another, and this is mine! WEll to my point of this blog...Eric's 1 year birthday is coming up! I know I would love to have a small little party for him, but I am making myself crazy over it! I am nuts- I know already! I do want to have something though, just so we have pictures and it will be fun for him. I told my friend Jen that I am going to start having little get togethers every now and agian, just to break myself in, so I get over this fear! But it doesn't help me for this party! Plus I don't know a whole lot of people here, well I know them but not enough to invite them to a 'fun' 1st birthday party! I think that all of you who I do know really well should make a trip to Arizona next month and then I will feel a lot better! Doesn't that sound good???

I don't know why this site does this. I upload pictures, and it tells me that they were successfully uploaded, but they are no where to be found! So I have many 'Eric' pictures that are floating around somewhere! Here are the pictures that I tried to put on the other day, and I tried on that post again today, but with no luck! Wired!

happy 11 month birthday...

I can't believe that Eric is 11 months already! This past year has gone so quickly, and I don't think that it is going to slow down any time soon! Well I have a few things to say, especially since Eric is sleeping for the first time today and it is 2:43! He slept for about 15-20 minutes earlier but that was it! I don't have time to update the web page just yet, but I will do that during the first nap tomorrow!

back to babies 'r' us!...

There is a new closer Babies R Us to us now! We have done so well NOT going there, but we did go back this weekend- to the new one! It is attached to Toys R Us, and is much smaller, but a good transition to Toys R Us! Well I just wanted to go buy a few new books, but we ended up buying a few more things too!:) One was this airplane, wich was a real big hit! He loves it!!!


steeler fan is back...

Well even though the Steelers lost on Saturday, Eric was decked out in his new Bettis onsie! My dad bought it for him and brought it to me last October when they visited in Enid! Now it finally fits!!! We didn't even get to watch the game, even though they played the ARIZONA Cardinals!!! Since it was a home game and it wasn't sold out, they blacked it out on local tv!!! That sucked, so we went to Babies R Us instead!!! The other one... the biggie!!! We got a jogging stroller that we tested walking yesterday and I jogged with this morning. I like it a lot and hope that I use it often!!!:)

The site isn't letting me put more pictures on right now, so I will put Steeler pictures on later!

stay-n-play and story time...

We went to two different activities this week. On Tuesday we went to a play group called Stay-N-Play- which is run through The Parent Connection. It was nice, but I'm not sure if we will go back or not. It is kind of strict! Although we did have a good time.

Wednesday's we have been going to Story Time. Story Time is always fun, and we will definitely go back there, we have a good time there! We have been meeting another girl- whose husband is in John's new squadron- Erika and her daughter Reese there. Eric loves to play and listen to the story! Good Story!

art work and airplanes...

Ya know those wooden letter that you can buy??? Well I bought those for Eric's room a long time ago, and they just sat here forever! I also bought a little airplane, and I finally painted and hung them up in his room. They look pretty cute if I do say so myself!!!




John has been playing 'airplane' with Eric. He plays with the food, with airplanes- well with anything that you can actually pick up. Well Eric has now started to make the airplane noise and he will pick up the airplane or a book or whatever and make it fly around! It is so cute!!! I took a video of what I could while he was doing it- he makes me smile!!!:)

hair cut...

Well Eric got his first hair cut today! I hadn't planned on it, although he REALLY needed one! John wanted to get one, and I thought it would be a good idea to take Eric while daddy was getting a hair cut. You know, so that he could get familiar with the sounds and everything. Well John asked the girl if they cut kids hair, and she said 'Oh yeah, we can do him before you or after you'. I immediately said "Oh mommy isn't ready for that yet, I just want him to come a few times before we actually do it!" Well she was telling us how much a hair cut was, and if you only do the sides and back, it is only $3. John really wanted to, and like I said he really needed it, so I caved! I didn't have a camera there, which I am very upset about, but I did have her put the hair in an envelope- and she said all mom's do that for the first hair cut so I'm not crazy!!! (John thought I was!) I will take a camera for the 2nd planned hair cut, and then I will really look nuts! Oh well!!! Anyway, once again- he really did need it- but as I was getting him into the car, I looked at his head and actually thought that I missed those little curls on the back of his neck! I guess I can let them grow again- ok I guess I am a little crazy and a little nuts!!!
