new tub idea...

Well, before I start with the tub thing, I wanted to tell you that we figured out what that gross bug is. Well John figured it out. It is called a Tarantula Hawk Wasp. It does lay it's eggs on a tarantula, and the babies eat the insides of the tarantula and eventually kills it!!! Not that I think that killing tarantulas are a bad idea, but the whole thing totally grosses me out. Anyway, check this out http://www.multispeciesreserve.org/naturenote.htm and you can see all about it.

Ok, now the tub. John is now just washing him in the sink. Not that this is a new idea, but it is new for us right now. I tried this a while ago, but I guess Eric was too small and he just was a slippin' and sliding all over the place. We now put a tea towel on the bottom and he is just fine. He still wants to crawl out and check everything out, but it is working for now. He is just such a wiggle worm, it is hard to do just about anything with him!!!:)

We had waffles for breakfast this morning. Here is Eric eating some, which he loved! He loved pancakes the other morning too! And bacon! It is fun to feed him real food, I love to watch the faces that he makes. He seems to like everything so far, except refried beans! He kept spitting them back out! He is just too funny!

I am trying something new also for naps today. I was reading that you should try to get the baby to take a nap in the pack-n-play, so he learns to nap in different places, especially if you plan on traveling anywhere. I have a friend who took her daughter on a trip, and it took a good few days to get her to sleep in the pack-n-play becuase it was different. Hopefully if I start practicing now, he will be a pro by the time I go anywhere. He should be sleeping now- is he??? No, he is playing, and I'm sure will be screaming here shortly- but practice makes perfect!!!:)

Oh yeah, and one more thing. HELP! What do you do when the child is getting teeth and chewing the crap out of the crib??? Those plastic pieces don't fit on some of the railings and of course- those are the ones he chews! Any suggestions???
