elmo is fun...

Well it has been awhile since I added anything here, sorry! I hurt my back, then I was catching up on everything, then my mom was here, then I was lazy! That about sums it up! Eric had such a great time when my mom was here, she totally catered to him the whole time- which grandparents are supposed to do- so I guess it was ok!!! I'm just kidding, it was great! He loved having her her and she loved being with him! It was nice to finally be able to go to the dentist, and not have to worry that he was going to scream the whole time on the babysitter! He was totally fine being with her, whether I was there or not! It was sooooo nice! He also started to walk while she was here too. He had taken 2 steps so far, and he started to take a lot more while she was here. She has a way of bribing him with cookies!!!:) Whatever works! He is still wobbly, and has a hard time getting up from the floor- so he crawls to a table or wall to pull himself up. If he is walking and falls, he is just as happy crawling still! Anyway, it was so sad to see her leave! It will only be a few weeks until we go back to Pittsburgh for the holidays, so that will be so much fun!

Well we are finally going to move next weekend! The people who are there are supposed to be out by the 25th, but we are hoping they are out by Thanksgiving! We have appliances being delivered on the 24th and the house is being cleaned and carpets cleaned on the 25th, so I hope those people cooperate!!! I have gone over there everyday since their house has been ready, but no moving truck yet! Keep your fingers crossed for us!!! I'll let you know how it all goes!

Eric has been getting into his bouncy chair everyday and sitting in it! He loves it! We think because it is just his size. So today we went out and got him his own chair- so he doesn't break the bouncy chair for his sister!!!:) We got him that "Tickle Me Elmo Chair". Eric loves it. His friend Jackson has one, and Eric loves to play in it when we go over thier house. Well he loves it just as much here!

trick or treat...

Eric had such a good time last night! I so thought he would not want to keep his costume on, but he did such a great job- didn't pull at his ears or anything! We went over Jamie's and went trick or treating with her and her kids. Eric didn't talk so much when we were up at a door- just looked at them and took the candy, but he was talking up a storm between each house! He loved to see all the other kids, and if a house had good lighting and if there weren't a lot of kids- I would hold his hand and he just walked up to the house! He is such a turkey, he will hold my finger and walk, but he won't walk on his own! I know I know, he will do it anyday now- or in his own time!:) Anyway, we really didn't need the candy, but he was having such a good time talking and waving and walking, that we just kept going!

Until John called and he was on his way home from work and something was terribly wrong with his truck! He was overheating and making crazy noises and I thought that I was going to have to meet him somewhere. Well he made it home- but I met him there so he could take my car to the auto parts store and fix the problem. What a night to have to be out in the garage fixing your car! He said that the only kids that came in to trick or treat were teenagers- it was getting pretty late though- so that is all that was still out. He was able to fix it though, which was great because I wasn't stranded without a car today! It is very nice to be married to a very handy guy!!!

Anyway, for the most party, the night was a lot of fun! Eric had a great time! Here are pictures of all of the Star Wars characters.

wweeeeeee...

We went to the park again this morning with a few friends, and stayed for like 2 hours. Eric had such a good time playing in the sand, swinging, and going down the sliding board!!! He was very dirty by the time we got home, but he had a great time! These pictures are of us going down the swerly slide and Eric loved it!!! Jamie put Jake down the covered slide by himself and I caught him at the bottom, but he fell back and hit his head. He is fine- don't worry! Anyway, he still wanted to go down again, so she sent him down head first on his belly- so he wouldn't fall back! Well Jake loved it! So I decided to send Eric down like that too! His face wasn't smiling when he got down, although he really didn't cry! Jake wanted to go down again, but we decided that once was enough for Eric this time! We'll try again next time! The weather is just getting so great to go spend time in the park! It is so beautiful, what a great time of year here!!! And tonight we are going to Jamie's togo 'trick or treating'! I will put more pictures on here and on his website tomorrow (Hopefully:))Me and Mom going down the slide! Wwwweee!!!

Ok, so Eric has had his fisrt official haircut, but it really wasn't planned. I do have the actual hair saved, but I didn't get any pictures- I know I know... Anyway, he really needs another one! His hair is straight, but with just enough wave to get crazy! When he lays on his head or rolls or anything,.wow look out!!! Mom- I know that you didn't want me to cut it the first time, and you don't want me to cut it now- but maybe since you are coming here in a week and 1/2 (YEAH!!!) we can get it cut with you here!?!?!?!???

Grandma, I REALLY REALLY need a haircut!!! Help me please!!!

closing...

Oh yeah, we pretty much signed and closed on our house yesterday! Our 'closing' is not supposed to be until the 26th- Happy Birthday to me- but I guess we had to go sign papers to close the loan- so the title company could get them to the lender and have them back by the 26th! The seller will go sign papers that day, but we are finished! Everything will post on the 26th, and we be home owners!!! I just wish they were leaving already! They are going to lease the house from us for 1 month, so we won't be moving until the end of November. We are still very excited, and the lease will give us a little extra money anyway! So now that we have a house with a pool and jacuzzi, you all will have to come visit us!

deal or no deal...

Saturday night we went to a Halloween party. We weren't sure of what to be, and after we threw many ideas around, we decided to do "Deal or No Deal"- Howie Mandel and one of the suitcase girls. I tried to find John a black suit, but couldn't do it without him to try things on. I did find a large bridesmaid dress, so I bought it for him, and found a jacket for myself. I told John about it- and being such the great sport that he is- agreed to be the suitcase girl- and I was Howie. It turned out really great! We both looked good- if I do say so myself!!!:) We were really glad that people actually knew who we were! We were hoping that a few people were dressed up, and it turned out that most everyone dressed up! I love Halloween and dressing up- we had a great time! Eric was long sleeping before the babysitter came, so there was no trauma this time! Everything worked out fantastic, and we all were happy!!!:)

Johnna, open the case!

horseback riding...

I'm a big boy sitting at the table!!! YEAAH!!!

Well tonight was another 3rd Friday for the guys, so a few wives and kids got together again, this time at Peter Piper Pizza. It was a lot of fun, but it will be much better when this little turkey starts walking! He had fun, but I had to carry him all over, because I surely wasn't letting him down to crawl all over that floor!!!:) Call me crazy- and maybe I am- but I just couldn't! ANYway, we still had a good time! We ate bread sticks and pizza, played some games, won some tickets, and best of all- we rode the carousel! When I first put Eric on the little horse, he giggled and bounced up and down. He loved it- until it started! He got a little nervous, and tried to get off. I kept him on it and said 'Wee' and 'Isn't this fun', and soon enough he was smiling again- while holding onto the horse with one hand, and my shirt with the other! We rode a few more times throughout the night, and he got better each time! Although, by the end of the night he was getting pretty sleepy. I put him on the horse and he was fine, but since it took a while before they actually started it, Eric had his feet up by the horses ears and was laying backwards almost doing a back flip- doing a little trick riding! (He was just practicing for the rodeo!) Anyway, I took that as a signal that he really didn't want to ride again!!!:) Even though he can't walk yet, we still had a good time!

Ride 'em cowboy!

Look at me!
