luau...

Last night John and I went to a luau at a bar downtown called 'The Hut'. We didn't know a whole lot of people, but we still had a good time. We got a babysitter for the 3rd time, and I was still a little nervous- even though we put him to bed before we left! Since he has a little cold, I was worried that he would wake up, but he did fine!!! She said he made a little bit of noise once, but that was it. I worry over nothing I'm sure, but I guess that what happens with first time mothers!!! Everyone keeps telling me that by the time we have another- I will give my kids away to whoever wants to take them!!! We had a good time at our luau, although we did talk about Eric quite a bit!!!:) Anwyay, since it was a luau, beach attire or hawiian attire was highly encouraged! Here is what John and I came up with!!! Like my coconuts???

We went to the party store to get our accessories, although the babysitter let John borrow his!, and of course Eric needed a toy there too! The little thing in the middle spun around and lit up and vibrated! He loved it!!! Loved it! But being a boy, about 15 minutes after we got it home, he hit it in the floor one too many times and broke it!

I loved my new toy!!!:)

Although he is getting up to a standing position quite well, he has no desire to stand on his own- although he has a few times by accident! He doesn't have any desire to walk either! When you hold his hands and try to walk with him, he falls to his butt, and when you try to pick him up again- he holds his legs straight out in front of him like he is sitting in the air! I guess I should be thanking my lucky stars though, he crawls fast enough- I don't need to be chasing him around running just yet!!!:) It will come fast enough- and I will think- aww I wish he was just crawling!

I stand just fine holding on, why do I need to do it myself???
