lions and tigers and bears- oh my!...

I never thought I would say this, since this is what Pittsburgh is like all the time (and I have complained many times about Pittsburgh weather!!!) but, the weather is so great today! It is cloudy and overcast and only like 75! I have not been walking in the mornings lately because since Eric is getting up between 7 and 7:30- by the time we are ready- it has just been too hot to go walking! Well this morning it was so nice, we walked for about 45 minutes. I kept going further and further away from the house, and of course when I was at the furthest point, it started to rain. It just drizzled a little, but I did run home the last few blocks!

Excited to go to the zoo

Anyway, since it was so cool outside, Jen called to see if we wanted to go to the zoo with her and Kate! I surely didn't think that I would be using that zoo membership over the summer! So we went to the zoo and it was so much fun! The kids were able to see the animals this time since they are a little older. Well at least I think they saw them- well a few of them! They could see the ones that moved and had contrasting colors to their backgrounds. If the animals weren't moving, the kids got bored pretty quick. I do have to say that they were still interested in the people there- probably as much as the animals! We also got to see a few airplanes! They were loud and pretty low, so they definitely saw them. It is kind of funny- we went to the zoo to see airplanes! It was neat to see them watching the planes anyway!:) Anyway, the kids were beat after 1 1/2 hours there, Eric past out on the way home! Looking at the giraffe

The weather is supposed to be like this for the next several days, so hopefully we will be able to get out and do a few more fun things like this!
