Most of you know this, but when we had Eric in Enid, we knew we would only be there for a little while- and we had no room- so we didn't do a nursery for him there. When we got here, we had a room, but no crib or furniture! My mom bought us a crib over Christmas, but it was out of stock and the delivery date kept getting pushed back and back. Anyway, by the time we got the crib, Eric was about 4 1/2 months, so that is about when he started to sleep in his own room. We finally went out and got him a mobile, although they all say to take them down when they are 5 months old! Well we bought one anyway, put it up and he was fine! The mobile has a little bubble with a fish in it, and there are fish hanging which turn around whe
n the music is playing. The last few times I went in to get Eric up from his nap, there has been a fish in his crib with him! I just thought it fell at first- and I put it back up. Well I can't say that it falls every time he takes a nap! He is either getting himself into a sitting position from laying down (which he does now- yeah!), or just pushing up from his belly and reaching up and pulling those fish down! So this past time, I finally realized that I have to take the mobile down! I can still keep the base on the crib though, with the bubble fish- and it can still play music. The hanging fish have to go though! I will have to take the bubble down when he starts trying to climb out, even though it is up against the wall- nobody said he was the sharpest knife in the drawer!!! Just kidding!:)
