lions and tigers and bears- oh my!...

I never thought I would say this, since this is what Pittsburgh is like all the time (and I have complained many times about Pittsburgh weather!!!) but, the weather is so great today! It is cloudy and overcast and only like 75! I have not been walking in the mornings lately because since Eric is getting up between 7 and 7:30- by the time we are ready- it has just been too hot to go walking! Well this morning it was so nice, we walked for about 45 minutes. I kept going further and further away from the house, and of course when I was at the furthest point, it started to rain. It just drizzled a little, but I did run home the last few blocks!

Excited to go to the zoo

Anyway, since it was so cool outside, Jen called to see if we wanted to go to the zoo with her and Kate! I surely didn't think that I would be using that zoo membership over the summer! So we went to the zoo and it was so much fun! The kids were able to see the animals this time since they are a little older. Well at least I think they saw them- well a few of them! They could see the ones that moved and had contrasting colors to their backgrounds. If the animals weren't moving, the kids got bored pretty quick. I do have to say that they were still interested in the people there- probably as much as the animals! We also got to see a few airplanes! They were loud and pretty low, so they definitely saw them. It is kind of funny- we went to the zoo to see airplanes! It was neat to see them watching the planes anyway!:) Anyway, the kids were beat after 1 1/2 hours there, Eric past out on the way home! Thanks Jen!!!:)

Looking at the giraffe

The weather is supposed to be like this for the next several days, so hopefully we will be able to get out and do a few more fun things like this!

peek-a-boo...

Eric has loved to play peek-a-boo with us, but he didn't really do any of the hiding before. This morning I was playing with him, and he crawled into the kitchen where I couldn't see him. I called out to him and he peeked his head around the corner, and thought that was so funny. He kept doing it, and I kept saying 'peek-a-boo', and he just thought it was great. Here are two videos that I took, of course by the time I got the camera, it was losing its excitment, but still cute!

sorry...

I am so sorry for not updating in so long! I can't say that I have been super busy, but I guess busy enough that I haven't found time to do it. I will try to do better next week! Here are just a few pics from the week, and I will put the rest on his website tomorrow.

Here is one of my new favorite toys! A blue bag and tissue paper! Oh what fun!!!:)

I love having a snack that I can pick up and eat and drink all on my own!!!:)

These are some crazy things that she keeps strappin' on my feet!:)

I know I shouldn't be so close to the tv, but Baby Einstein is too cool!!!

Why play in the exersaucer when you can play under it???

We aren't messin' around in the sink anymore!:)

So there are some of the pictures fromt his week. Like I said before, I will put the rest of them on Eric's website tomorrow! I will try to do better this week! I hope you all have a good week!:)

swimming...

Yesterday, we went to our friends Jen and Kate's house to go swimming. I finally took my camera- AND took pictures! They are so much fun to see together, to see the difference in boys and girls, and to see how much their development is different- although they are only a week apart. Eric didn't take a good nap before we went- surprise surprise- so he was a little whiney while we were there, but after he stopped crying because scared him-twice!!!:), he was fine and had a good time!

Big Bad Kate Making Eric Cry!:) Doesn't she look scary???

Ok, I'm Done Being Cranky- Let's Be Friends Again!:)

fire works...

We went to friend's of ours house tonight for a cookout, then went onto base to see fire works. We weren't sure how long into the night we were going to make it because of the baby, but we were sure surprised. He is the best trooper there is! He just goes along with the program no matter what we are doing, and is quite happy doing it! He was great during the cookout, and even better for fire works! We weren't sure how he would do with the big booms, but he was great. He just sat and watched- no matter whose arms he was in! He is such an angel!!!

Here is a little something for those of you who didn't go watch fire works tonight! Enjoy- short but sweet! http://media.putfile.com/Fire-Works-37

big pants...

When Aunt Dawn came, she bought Eric a few outfits. They are really cute, but maybe this one is still a little too big, but I still had to put it on him because it is really cute. It doesn't look all that big yet, but just wait!

But he is really in style with his big pants and his 'Elmos' hanging out! Isn't it just too cute??? Thanks Aunt Dawn!!!:)

caves and rasberries...

We did something different today, we went to the Colossal Caves. It was a lot of fun, as well as a really good workout for me! I put Eric in the Baby Bjorn and with all the walking up and down stairs, I got a pretty good workout, although it wasn't quite as tough as I thought it would be! This picture is pretty scary of Eric and me, I look scared and bald- and he looks like a blind zombie!- but it is the only one we took! We had a good time though, and he seemed to enjoy it too!:)

For the last few days, especially today, Eric has been blowing rasberries all day! He has figured out how to do it on my arm, as well as just in the air. He is too silly. http://media.putfile.com/Crazy-Rasberries
